Control Center for SonarQube™ Server 1.8
April 10, 2026
Keeping a SonarQube instance optimized is essential for the performance and clarity of your analysis. In the new version of Control Center for SonarQube™ Server 1.8, we’ve introduced two key features designed to help you identify and eliminate “noise” from your instance: the new Housekeeping section and advanced filters in Project Management. Below, we detail how these improvements will make your daily work easier.
New Housekeeping section
The main highlight of this release is the introduction of a section called Housekeeping, designed to detect and manage empty projects. From here you can:
-
View empty projects in a centralized way.
-
Identify which projects are not providing any data.
-
Prepare their removal in a controlled manner.
New intelligent filtering in the projects screen
The projects view also evolves with two key capabilities:
Empty project filter: From the Project Management section, you can now directly filter and find projects that contain no data, avoiding unnecessary manual exploration.
Branch search: A dedicated search tool has been added to locate projects based on a specific branch, enabling you to:
-
Detect whether a branch contains data or is empty.
-
Analyze real activity per branch.
-
Identify inconsistencies across environments or workflows.
If you have the Universal Plugin Manager for SonarQube™ Server (UPM) you simply need to click the update button in your instance administration. If you haven’t tried Control Center for SonarQube™ Server yet, you can download it and test it in your instance from this link.
